A Day Built for Community.

The Urban Health Expo is the Black Leaders Collective’s 4th convening focused on addressing the urgent State of Black Health in Central Texas.

This daylong event brings together families, health providers, policymakers, and advocates to close health gaps through fitness, nutrition, and mental wellness programming.

The Expo is both a celebration of culture and a vital intervention point, providing free screenings, workout sessions, cooking demonstrations, health panels, and direct access to Black-led health resources.

A Series of Webinars to Start the Conversation Early

  • Grandma's Medicine Cabinet

    October 26, 2026 | 6 PM CT

    Zoom

Ginger ale, vapor rub, and the home remedies passed down through generations. We're digging into the homeopathic traditions many of us grew up with, and using them as the entry point into a real conversation about maternal and women's health in the Black community.

  • The Barbershop Talk

    November 9, 2026 | 6 PM CT

    Zoom

The conversations Black men actually have—in barbershops, on the sidelines, between fathers and sons—become the entry point into cancer prevention, screening, and men's health engagement.

  • Surviving the Season

    December 7, 2026 | 6 PM CT

    Zoom

The holidays bring grief and caregiving to the surface for many of us. A candid conversation on death, dying, and caring for our elders and each other within the Black community, and the support that exists when we need it most.

  • The Road to a Healthier Tomorrow

    January 6, 2026

    Zoom

Catch up on the season's biggest moments and get a first look at what's ahead at the Summit and Expo.
